Aquiles — Terms and Conditions & Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Aquiles mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Aquiles is a strength-training and workout-tracking application that allows users to:
- Generate a personalized training plan from a short questionnaire
- Create, edit, and organize custom workout routines
- Browse an offline library of exercises with demonstration animations
- Log sets, reps, weight, time, and distance during a workout
- Use a rest timer and a Lock Screen Live Activity
- Track strength, volume, estimated one-rep max, and personal records
- Record body weight, body composition, and measurements
- Store progress photos and compare them side by side
- Schedule workouts on a calendar with reminders
- Export routines to PDF, CSV, or Aquiles file format
- Synchronize data across the user's own devices via Apple iCloud
- Optionally sync body weight, body composition, and workouts with Apple Health
3. Privacy and Data
Aquiles does not collect, sell, or transmit your data to the developer or to any third-party servers. The developer has no access to your information.
All content you create in the App — including:
- Your profile, goals, and training preferences
- Routines and exercises
- Workout history, sets, and notes
- Body weight, body composition, and measurements
- Progress photos
- Scheduled workouts
is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled (it can be turned off in the App's Settings), that same data is also stored in your own private iCloud account and synced between your devices by Apple's iCloud/CloudKit service. This data resides in your personal iCloud container; the developer cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Device permissions. The App may ask for:
- Camera — only to take progress photos. Photos stay on your device (and your iCloud, if enabled).
- Calendar — only to add scheduled workouts to your iOS calendar, if you choose to.
- Notifications — only to remind you of scheduled workouts or to log your weight. These reminders are generated on your device.
-
Apple Health (HealthKit) — optional and off by default;
you turn it on from the App's Settings. When enabled:
- Aquiles reads your height, date of birth, and any previously recorded weight, body-fat percentage, and lean mass from Health to fill in your profile and history without re-entering them.
- Aquiles writes to Health every weight, body-fat percentage, and lean-mass entry you log in the App, and every workout you finish (as strength training, with an estimated active-energy figure when a more accurate Apple Watch reading isn't available).
- If you delete a weight entry in Aquiles that the App wrote to Health, it is also removed there. An entry you recorded directly in Health (or from a connected scale) is never modified or deleted by Aquiles.
- This data moves only between your device and your Health app, using Apple's HealthKit framework; it is never sent to the developer or to any server.
- You can turn Health sync off at any time from Settings; data already written stays in your Health app until you remove it.
The App contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party accounts or logins. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
4. Purchases
Aquiles is free to download and use. The App offers optional in-app purchases:
- Aquiles Pro — a one-time, non-consumable purchase (not a subscription) that removes the free-plan routine limit and unlocks custom exercises, progress photos, body composition tracking, routine export, and iCloud sync.
- Tips — optional one-time payments to support development. Tips unlock no features and provide nothing in return other than our thanks.
New installs include a 14-day free trial during which all Pro features are available. This trial is managed by the App and is not an Apple subscription trial. When the trial ends, the App remains fully usable on a free plan (with feature limits) unless Aquiles Pro is purchased.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment details. Purchases can be restored on your devices using the "Restore Purchase" option. Refunds are handled solely by Apple in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
5. Health and Fitness Disclaimer
Important: Aquiles is a workout-logging tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, physiotherapy, or coaching advice. The generated plans, exercise information, and any numbers shown in the App — including any synced to or from Apple Health — are for general informational purposes only.
- Consult a physician before starting any exercise program, especially if you have an injury or a medical condition.
- Use proper form and appropriate weights; stop if you feel pain or dizziness.
- You exercise at your own risk.
The developer is not responsible for any injury, health issue, or loss that may result from using the App or following any plan it produces.
6. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device and your Apple ID
- Keeping backups of your data (via iCloud, device backups, or the App's export feature)
- Using the App in accordance with these Terms and applicable law
- Any content you add, including progress photos
7. Intellectual Property
The Aquiles app, including its name, design, features, and bundled exercise content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract its source code
- Remove or alter any copyright or ownership notices
- Use the App's name or branding without permission
You retain full ownership of all routines, logs, photos, and other content you create with the App.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Aquiles shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, personal injury, or health issues, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
9. App Availability and Updates
We strive to keep Aquiles functional and up to date, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or iOS version, or that the App is free of bugs. We may update the App periodically to improve features and fix issues.
10. Termination
You may stop using Aquiles at any time by deleting it from your device. These Terms remain in effect while you use the App.
11. Data Portability and Deletion
- Deleting the App removes all data stored locally on that device.
- If iCloud sync was enabled, a copy remains in your iCloud account; you can remove it from Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage on your device, or by disabling iCloud sync in the App before deleting.
- If Apple Health sync was enabled, the data Aquiles wrote there remains in your Health app; you can remove it from Health (Browse > Data > [category] > Aquiles) or revoke access from Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Aquiles.
- You can export routines from within the App at any time.
- Because the developer holds none of your data, there are no server-side deletion requests to make.
12. Third-Party Services
Aquiles relies only on Apple services and your device's built-in capabilities: Apple iCloud / CloudKit (sync), Apple Health / HealthKit (optional sync of weight, body composition, and workouts), the App Store (in-app purchases), and iOS system features such as the camera, calendar, local notifications, Live Activities, PDF generation, and the system share sheet. The App does not integrate with any other third-party service and sends no data to remote servers operated by the developer.
13. Children's Privacy
Aquiles is rated 4+ but is intended for a general audience interested in fitness. It is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and make the revised version available at this address. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect.

By using Aquiles, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Privacy summary: Aquiles keeps your training data on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud and Apple Health. Nothing is sent to the developer or to third-party servers. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
